Please note! Our dialup service closed on 30 September 2015. (more info here)
Dialup internet plans allow customers to use an ordinary phone line and a dialup modem to connect to the internet. For occasional internet users, they provide low-cost internet access. Dialup internet can be used wherever there is an ordinary telephone line. The transmission speed with dialup is up to 56 kbit/second: slower than any kind of broadband. (Well, any broadband that is working properly!)
However, a dialup connection gives a very limited view of the internet. Its slow speed means that many websites and many services just won’t work. We advise people still on dialup to find a better type of connection: there’s some help here.
